We get a letter weekly, so I'm not worried about it.

OK. Engine is in. Torque convertor is connected. Most of the harnesses are connected. Then there was a snag. I didn't change out the Trans to Engine "gasket" and the starter bolts do not line up. The holes on trans side does not line up with the gasket. It is very hard steel. Well, could take it all out again, or cut it out. I voted to cut it out. Modify!!! I need more cutting wheels though.

I was looking at that setup aswell but unfortunately for Robert, the seller said he was gonna use it on his ZX2 build except the manifold hits the trans and thermostat housing on a ZX2.
A remote mount setup looks awesome but almost requires a custom intake manifold to make room for a down pipe.

Hey guys,
I installed a Focus Zetec motor in my ZX2 and I ran into an issue. I put the key in the ignition, set to on, the cluster lights up. I turn it to start and it does nothing. I know the switch is seeing the key turn, because the radio turns off and the airbag light goes out for a moment. I used a volt meter and there is no change at 12.3V. It is an automatic. I made sure it was in Park or Neutral.
I think I just missed a plug somewhere. I think it is the plug for the Park switch. Where does that live? Is it on the trans? Would the ECU control this? I am just not completing the circuit. What else should I check.

On the Focus automatic and most automatics, the PRNDL selector swith is usually on the trans. Follow the shift cable to the trans and I'll bet the sensor is there. I'd make sure EVERYTHING is plugged in correctly and definitely re-check the main harness connectors (big gray and black plugs). If everything is good then hook up a voltmeter to the positive little red wire and black to ground, then have someone turn the ignition to start while you read the voltmeter. If you get power then its the starter solenoid and you'll need a new starter, if you dont get a reading then start tracing wires back from that point. Next stop back for the red wire is at the battery and the next stop back from the black wire is most likely a grounding point somewhere.

Starter works, I got it checked. There is just something not plugged in and I blame Dom. I don't know why. Maybe because he gives me sooo much s%@t. I think it is the one all the way to the left.
