I can barley pick up the flywheel with one hand. If you were able to throw it at someone it would be a seriously deadly weapon.

Wow that was some fast shipping coming from Hawaii. And I lol'ed a little, I remember picking up my box with the clutch/flywheel/PP with one hand thinking I had it and then almost dropped it on my foot.

That's some good stuff. The clutch still had some material on it, so I'm guessing that the pressure plate was some of the blame, too. How long did it take you guys?

@joel We were working pretty slow, didn't have much motivation. Got caught up on a few snags it took 2 days just for us to get everything out, but that's working very slow like Remove an axle and sit for 15 - 20 talking, BSing. Then do the other axle and sit for another 20 min. It was down to the rivets in one place and was slipping pretty bad in 5th and 6th gear.
Also, if you noticed the old Flywheel, clutch, PP is a little bit smaller than the new stuff. If you didn't know the SVT had a TSB on clutch premature failure. So, they mad a revised kit hints why everything looks different; different FW, Disk, & PP.

I did know about the tsb. I'm surprised it lasted that long.

Yea it was definitely worn out. There were hot spots all over the FW and PP from excessive slip. And the line in the clutch material is the biggest indicator, they were completely gone in most spots. I'd estimate about .001-.003" of material before rivets started grinding.

sounds like your working just as fast as a real shop would, 2 times as long as what's needed to get the job done!

Yea, too bad we aren't getting paid like a real shop. Well atleast I get something out of it; clutch and MOAR RACECAR!
When everything is all back together I'm going to put roughly 500+ miles on it before going over the 4k mark. (Yes, it'll be hard, but I can do it!) With that said, I'll probably fill her up once and take a nice big ole' 100mile trip around the valley since I'll get great MPG'S and lots of miles. I'll probably take the trip around the valley 3 or 4 times. Unless I decide to take a trip to Mt. Charleston which would be better cause I'll have some curves. Ya'll should join along lol
