Hello Everyone!,
The name is Dominic.
I own a '03 Screamin Yellow SVTF ZX3.
I was refereed over here by Steven (eggyolkedzx3)
PICS:
The Story:
Well we had one hell of a time getting back to Vegas from Palm-Dale, California. Driving there the conditions were not the best, hit some real heavy rain and about 20+ MPH winds.
Coming back was the real problem.
Having a CAI with rain coming down like cats and dogs, and slow moving traffic on a 2 lane road is not the best of thrills.
We were about 1/2 mile away from a rest stop and at that point were sucked in some water in some areas, but not too bad but we started to hit some real bad dips in the road about 500ft from the gas station, the CAI was just sucking up water like it was its job, the car was missin and puttsin around like no tomorrow.
We get about 20FT from the drive in and the car nearly stalls with a semi truck blocking the road way. (at this point it was a panic situation, words can not describe how nerve racking it was) we are puttsin into a gas station and we finally park, grab the tool box, flashlight and go check her out. (at that time of night with the rain and snow it was about 21 degrees and being Vegas people we don't have real heavy jackets.)
So we remove the battery and decide to remove the 2nd arm of the CAI and put the filter resting on the Transmission.
Sorry if the story is poorly writin lol, I'm pretty sure Steven will come on here and do the necessary correcting considering he was driving.
