Hey everybody. Being that we were talking about getting more meets going, I seen this and thought it may be a good idea for a g2g. On Sunday (April 10th) Las Vegas Scca is holding their very first road rally. For those of you unfamiliar with a road rally, it is a point to point to point race. Meaning that you start off at a certain location and are handed an address and the race starts from there. Once you reach that destination, you are handed another address, and another, until you complete the rally. Now as far as the scoring goes, it based on first of all, time to complete + or -, distance traveled (mileage), and full completion of all stops. Now being that this is done on public roads the time to complete has been calculated based on the speed limit. Meaning if you ended up completing the race early you will be penalized and if you are to slow, you are penalized.
So I figured since this is a race where speeding is actually discouraged it would be a great time for us to get together and have some fun actually driving our cars..... The price for the rally is $20 for members of scca with addition of $5 for non-members. It starts at the Silverton casino and ends there...
