Either the 3D Fabric CF Black or the 3M Di-Noc CF Black. But I like the 3D Fabric better.

This car is such a love hate relationship. Lots of mixed emotions about it right now. Good news: -Ordered 3D Fabric CF Vinyl -Found a new untweaked manifold from the junkyard -Ordered DEI titanium wrap to wrap it -Fixed the head back to where it can use a stock 8 x 1.25 stud again After that........... Bad news: -Found out my power steering pump also has a broken mounting bung. New pumps run $217 from SAAB... Luckily picking one up from LKQ tomorrow for $45 and I'll get a $13 seal kit from SAAB to rebuild it. Every time I feel I move a step forward there's something a hack F'ed up to bring me 2 steps back. -On top of that, today I get a Henderson Code Enforcement Notice for " Abandoned or Junk Vehicles - Inoperative or unregistered vehicles or parts thereof in public view. Exception: minor repair work of owned vehicle not to exceed seventy-two hours" Now for: 1) of course I don't know who filed the complaint but they need to grow a sack and come up to my front door and talk to me about their issue first and I'd be willing to help resolve it with them. Takes me 5 minutes to put front wheels back on lower it and put an old plate on it. Would it look operational enough now ***hole? 2) Car is NOT an "abandoned or junk vehicle" when I have multiple recent receipts showing me putting massive amounts of money into it and it looks better then 2/3rds of the legitimate rolling authentic eyesores running around in the neighborhood. 3) I can think of 3 cars off the top of my head down the street that haven't moved SINCE I WAS BORN, yes in over 19 years of my existence. 4) How the F*CK do you register a car that doesn't run? 5) If it takes me more than 72hrs to complete something, then city would you like to pay for my car to go to a shop or buy me my own house with garage? I'm not rich like you politicians who do next to nothing with my tax dollars. 6) Guy says its a law to have registration on any vehicle. Kiss it, I'm not going to register a car I can't drive on public roads. Then he says since it looks like I'm working on it (no shit sherlock) he'll give me 14 days to register it. WTF? what part of IT DOESNT RUN and UNABLE TO REGISTER don't you comprehend? 7) This is on private property in a NON- HOA community, keep your nose out of my ****! Sorry, /rant Any thoughts on what to do here guys?

Sounds like a ton of crap but they are right, you do have to register it. The registration is for non-street legal / non-running cars and is still required. You just have to register it as non-running, then when you do get it running you would then do the normal registration.

Well I spent a few hours searching the DMV site and I think I found the right form to fill out. Funny how there is absolutely no instructions nor mention on their site on how to register a non running car. Even went through their official book thing that was revised 2010 and no mention of how its supposed to be done. Its a bunch of BS. I'm not paying to register it now then in say 2 weeks when its going pay once again. Just another stupid law to make an excuse to right a ticket.

Been making lots of progress now that I'm sort of forced too. Fixed the stripped hole in the head. Fabbed up a jig to get it perfectly where it should be again. Put insert in MOAR cleaning. Mildly ported the t25 flange side of the turbo manifold to match that of my GT3076. Before: After: Wrapped and installed the manifold. Notice how there's no more odd hardware holding it together!? Its finally normal again. Torqued down just fine and shouldn't be anymore huge exhaust leaks there anymore. Also found out the power steering pump also had a broken mount Managed to get a used one for fairly cheap. And now the best part.... BIG THANKS goes out to Alan M. for wrapping the dash with the 3d fabric wrap for me. Came out very nice! Put the dash back together and what a night and day difference from before. Looks factory as ****. Just need to clean drivers seat, shampoo floor mats, and interior is done.

Car is looking good Steven!!! You're welcome on the wrap. She was a bit of a pain but it came out nice. I do like the texture feel of that wrap, maybe something i'll look into w/the Civic. Nice job on the manifold wrap. ::two thumbs up::

I don't really comment much on anything, but i must say Steven is one of the smartest people I have ever met. It's probably why me and him have sorta stayed friends cause I can actually connect with someone near my age. With that said, Steven you're doing a hell of a job man, keep it up. You need a OEM+ tattoo. I can't wait to see how this monster is gonna turn out.

Kind of abandoned this thread do to not much going on here anymore but that isn't the case with the SAAB, lots has happened. To start, I'd gotten it all back together. Modded my down pipe with a 3" V-band to fit the new adapter housing plus wrapped it. Shortened some coolant lines by a lot. Fabricated my 3" intake pipe. Didn't get a pic of the engine bay all done yet but here's the best one so far. Go to start it and it doesn't run any better than when I got it. Now since there's a lot less noise from exhaust leaks and I have proper gauges to get info from, I discovered I had a pretty big vacuum leak on the intake manifold side. Air/Fuel was pegged lean and vacuum gauge could barely pull 5 in/hg of vacuum at idle. Tear off intake manifold and sure enough. Top of every injector port there was a leak. Retard had used 2 gaskets, 1 for a 9-3 and 1 for a 900 which has lower injector placement Put a new one in and car runs pretty well. Smogged it, registered it, got plates, hit 29-30psi, spin tires at 55mph, smoked a friends tuned Audi 1.8T A4, had fun, etc. for 2 weeks... Friend with A4 had traded his car for a B5 S4 V6TT stage 3. Was going to go run him and my car wouldn't spool/build pressure. Couple minutes later, the bearings in my turbo were making all kinds of noise. Friend pulls up saying I'm smoking hella. Pull over and it was obvious the 3076 had just taken a dump. Limp it home and tear it down. Both wheels are damaged and the shaft has warped. Bearing destruction So now I'm pretty pissed as I don't know what caused this or if PO knew it was bad when I was sold the car. These aren't supposed to blow up like this. Anyways Garrett BB CHRA's aren't rebuildable. New CHRA is about $900, new 3076-WG is about $1450. Garrett has a CHRA exchange service where you can send in your damaged part to a authorized distributor for inspection. If it qualifies then they'll sell you a new CHRA for about half price at $495. Currently sent it out to Turbos Direct in AZ and gonna wait to see what they say.
