while I was at the house last night cleaning/packing, my neighbor stopped by to tell me that he got the carb in for his big block. here is a little eye candy for you all, 535cid max wedge mopar, the carb is a 1200 cfm holly dominator! Just look at the size of these headers! 2-1/8" primaries w/3-1/2" collectors! it should make between 700-800 hp

That. Is. Badass. ;D
Love the old school thinking of putting the biggest motor into the smallest car. If the Belvedere stays pretty close to looking like that it'll be one hell of a sleeper. I approve.

The picture is not of his car but it is the look he is going for. The idea of the car is to remain as stock looking as possible while running 10.5's in the quarter! There is going to be AC delete, heater delete, radio delete and so on. The car came with the 440 already in it but the block is the only stock part, everything else is new. Total cost of the motor is around $9K.

Also this make it the highest NA Max Wedge mopar the dyno shop has run. Apparently most NA Wedge motors only make 600Hp or so, and none ever go higher with edelbrock heads and parts. In fact its the highest ever on Edelbrocks new Super Victor parts! the dame thing made well over 600ft from 4100 all the way to 6300! Now he could go higher with the power but the stock block is only good for about 800hp or 1000hp with the girdle he has. All in all its gonna be one bad ass car!

I'd think it'd be in the 9's for sure. Got a cage? Twin turbo it and you'll need a parachute lol.

it has a cage, good for 10:00 though. He is trying to keep the car reasonable for now. Gonna build and run it as is for the first year then decide whether to go faster. He already has 15k in the car and its only a shell and a motor! Probably gonna be 10k more to finish.
