Sent the head to Route 9 Machine & Welding in Hurricane, UT, for a valve job, weld fillings, resurface, and cleaning. Total: $175 Should pick it up Friday. Does anyone else want to get involved on the install?

I'm happy for you, Joel. Work is sparse. I just scored a job myself.

Well, I got lucky with the cylinder head.. it cleaned up nicely. I've acquired for the swap: SVTF cyl head assembly SVTF header SVTF intake manifold SVTF alt bracket Ford Racing UDP Kent Adj. cam gears I'll be getting the small stuff over the next week such as: Brake booster hose Throttle bracket Dipstick tube The cams for the SVTF are really aggressive compared to the stock ZX2! SVT cam specs: Int: Lift = .431 / Duration = 230° @ 1.0mm (.040") Exh: Lift = .388 / Duration = 220° @ 1.0mm (.040") ZX2 Specs: Int: Lift = .352 / Duration = 206° @ .050" Exh: Lift = .343 / Duration = 205° @ .050" This should be getting installed next weekend:

If my bad alignment wouldn't eat my new tires and I didn't already have plans involving a lake and a boat tomorrow, I'd be down for coming. Sometime I'll make it up there.

Progress.. I still have to get my vacuum lines figured out, especially the evap stuff. The wiring needs to be done. A header needs to be installed. I need to replace my crank position sensor.. broke it upon removal of a wiring harness. The oil needs to be changed and a coolant line needs to be rerouted. The head is timed, the intake mani is on, and the car should be good to go Wednesday or Thursday. I really want to thank Steven and Doug for all their help.. I would have been really lost without the guidance and assistance they provided.
