Since I have used this thread so much in the building of my car, I have renamed it. (Bob's Focus Build) I will update it with more parts as I go along. As most of you are running lower then stock, whats a good choice for a mild drop? H&R sport or Eiback prokit? and does anyone have the tools to install them. I'm looking to get the sedan a little lower, you know to make it look, drive and handle better then stock. I can not go to low or the wife might notice it. Thanks

I consider a 1.5" drop mild, so I'd recommend checking out the FRPP kit everyone talks about on FocusFanatics.com and FocalJet.com. It's what I have and with that and my Eibach swaybars, it is still the best mod I have done to my car by far. PM "FORDSVTPARTS" on FJ.com (also known as Steve at Tousley) or call Hilbish Ford and tell them you're from FocusFanatics.com. I think I paid $360 for the kit and I forgot what shipping came to at Hilbish back when Mike was in parts and that includes FRPP springs, SVT shocks/struts and all new hardware/bearings. Matched shocks and struts with lower stiffer springs are a must! Also there are no special tools except possibly spring compressors if the front assemblies dont come put together for you (unfortunately, dont think either vendor does that anymore). Really is an easy install and if you need a hand, I'll offer help. Will also need an alignment after.

Cool thanks, my only concern in that I have a 2010 and most of the kits out there don't fit. 2008 and up are special and cost more to do right. From what I have been able to find either I can just get springs, get high end coil-overs (think H&R kit). I think I did see a kit out there to convert the spring mounts over to the earlier style.

Nice!!! Order it from Tousley?
I dont know about any meets coming up, havent talked to anyone in a long time, but if you wanna come do the install at my house or I go to your place its good to me. Since being a fairly clean new car and not from the rust belt, I'm sure we can get this done in a few hours. Only thing we'd have to rent are spring compressors if the front springs/struts aren't pre-assembled, no big deal. Also you will need an alignment after.

I'd love to have a meet, but between 2 jobs and my family, I've had no time to set something up.

yep, I ordered the parts from Tousley. The parts come unassembled as they are shipped directly from Ford. My best friend works for MCI and knows the guy up there, go figure. He is friends with a lot of the Dealerships down in the Auto Mall that I can take the struts to and have them assembled. After that, I can go ahead with the install. It will probubly be mid December time before I go ahead with the install, got to do the speakers as well.

I got the struts assembled last night, turns out one of my friends has a full garage load of tools for working on cars. They are in the Audi club here in town and seem to have everything needed to work on anything. I will let you all know when and where for the install. Thanks again everyone.

Here is a picture of the wheels I may end up running. they are made by ATS and are the DTC super Light. Im not sure of the size yet, but the bolt pattern is spot on at 4x108. Anyway what do you all think? Attachments:
