Just got back from running Toms last revision to my tune and damn does my car feel peppy. Was having no issue spinning tires getting on it a little in the rain. Cant wait to try it out when it dries up!
For anyone that doesnt have a tune yet but wants one in the future, I recommend to at least see what Tom can do for you. I've had my ups and downs with him but in the end he's a stand up guy that knows his shit despite what all the haters think. He's done COUNTLESS retunes for me and FREE of charge, I feel he has now gone out of his way to help me out with the MTX swap tune wise!

Build time Picked up CFM stage 3 zetec head with Comp Stage 2 cams Intake ports... Exhaust ports... Chambers/ Oversized valves... Comp Cam lobes and head machined for bigger cams if I ever needed them... Older design CFM cam gears... ARP zetec head stud kit... Ford Racing 42lb/hr fuel injectors. May sell for 60's or 80's for turbo build... So for a summary, I scored a CFM stage III head, Comp Stg 2 cams, CFM cam gears, ARP head stud kit, 42lb injectors, stock Ford zetec head gasket, Ford exhaust manifold gasket, Ford zetec timing belt, and Ford valve cover gasket all brand new for $1k locally from an awesome badass guy.

Haha not quite...
My goal is stock compression or at least no less than 9.5:1. In the end I want a 375-400whp completely streetable Focus running in the 11's and will take a C6 Vette any day of the week. Want to run a Garrett GT or GTX3071 which would allow me to go past my whp goal if I ever wanted to, the only thing stopping me at that point would be the returnless fuel system. Going to slightly overbuild everything just in case I get the urge and wanna play with the top guys in the focus world but instead of being the one with the most power, I wanna be the one with the fastest E.T.. No point in bumping up power just to burn more rubber imo.

'98 Contour SVT shifter assembly with metal base scored at junkyard + ... CFM adjustable short throw shifter with custom riser plate, longer bolts, and OEM Ford replacement lever arm & bushing = ... THE ULTIMATE SHIFTER Cant wait to install this in my car tomorrow! There is absolutely ZERO shifter slop side to side and you cant beat the adjustability of the CFM shifter. Plus William over at CFM is awesome for hooking me up with the '00-2.5 shifter but with the SVT riser plate and bolts all for the same price as the '00-02.5 kit. Now they have the whole deal listed on their website for ~$25 more than what I paid. Some more pics: Puzzle I started with, went through everything and cleaned it all up... Added length of the CFM unit vs. stock to make it a short throw... CFM unit at max handle length vs. stock one... And CFM unit at shortest handle length vs. stock one... It goes in tomorrow!

I wonder, could that shifter setup be made to work on a newer (2010) car? I cant think of why not, the same trans (MTX-75) right?
