I've finally 100% completed my MTX swap after a long process! The last piece of the puzzle was to get my MTX ECU in the car because of ATX ECU setting CEL's for auto functions that were now non-existent. The only thing I had to do to get the new ECU to work was program my old keys into it so the PATS system would let me start my car. I never realized just how many stupid folks actually work in the automotive world until this experience... I went to Ford Country who wanted $240 and said I needed the old ECU for info on it, not true. Went to another shop and they said it couldn't be done or I would need a PATS disable module and once again not true. These people were acting like I was the dumb one, so avoid Imperial off American Pacific at all costs. For supposedly being old GM and Ford techs, they were no better than imbred rittards imo. After printing ALLDATA sheets on how to do this, people STILL didn't have a damn clue or would believe me! Finally after calling around and searching online, I found www.lasvegascarkeys.com. Called them up and the guy knew exactly what I wanted and what to do. He happened to be on my side of town with the special scanner at the time so he cut me a deal of $90 (usually $120 for mobile service) to come reprogram PATS. I had everything ready to go when he got here and with in 5 minutes he was done. First turn over and the car started, try 2nd key, same thing, ABOUT TIME someone had a clue! So now my car has no more CEL's and just passed smog no problem. I consider MTX swap 100% successful now ;D
